We’ll be looking at The Garava Sutta (Samyutta Nikaya 6.2) and Bhanta Sangharakshita’s commentary on it. After The Buddha’s enlightenment, He felt the need for reverence in His life, but could find no human to look up to – He decided, as the Sutta says in common with all Buddha’s, to revere the Dharma which He had re-discovered.
