Starts Tuesday 23rd April 2024, 7pm–9pm for six Tuesday evenings: 23rd, 30th April and 7th, 14th, 21st, ending on 28th May 2024.
The course will be in person at our Buddhist Centre in Horsforth. We’ll have a break in the middle of each class. This six-week course is for people who are new to Buddhism and meditation, and also for those who would like to deepen their understanding.
We are offering an introduction to both Buddhism and Meditation. It is open to all (over 18). There is no charge for this course, though we will be asking if you’d like to give to the centre to provide future courses and activities.
On this course we’ll look into how we get blown around by circumstances in our daily lives. We’ll explore how Buddhist meditation and practice might help us to find meaning and purpose in our lives.
We recommend the book ‘Sailing the Worldly Winds’ by Vajragupta, which the course will be based around. However, it is not necessary to read the book to do the course.
